 Gast Manufacturing, Inc ® was founded in
1921 and has developed into a worldwide leader in the design and manufacture
of air-moving products. We offer cost-effective solutions to pneumatic
problems for both OEM and end-users. Currently we produce over 100 basic
models of quality pneumatic pumps designed and built to meet the changing
needs of industry.
In 1995, the first Asian branch office, Gast Hong Kong, was established in
Hong Kong to be responsible for the sales & marketing of South-East
Asian countries and China. With this branch office in Hong Kong, we are
closer to our customer in Asia and we
can provide more prompt responses & support to our customers in this
region.

We offer an extensive line of air-moving products,
including vacuum pumps, compressors, air motors, gear motors, vacuum
generators and regenerative blowers. We design and build these components
for original equipment manufacturers worldwide.

and as early as 1983, we implemented a total quality process designed to
ensure the quality of our products.
In keeping with that tradition, Gast has achieved ISO 9001 certification,
thus becoming a member of an elite group made up of fewer than 5% of the
manufacturing companies of the world. This is considered the international
badge of world-class excellence. We also recently achieved ISO 14001
certification, affirming our belief in environmentally friendly business
practices.
European Community Directives
Given its international perspective, Gast has also
pledged to conform to the European Community Directives. These directives
contain essential requirements concerning health, safety, environment and
consumer protection for all products targeted for the European Community
market. Currently, all Gast products available for sale in the European
Community are in compliance with the Machinery, Low Voltage and
Electromagnetic Compatibility directives.
On January 21, 1998, Gast was acquired by IDEX
Corporation as part of their Pump Products Group. IDEX, an acronym for
innovation, diversity and excellence, manufactures proprietary pump
products, dispensing equipment and other engineered products for a variety
of global markets.
