Introduction of New 15D Series Next Generation Miniature Diaphragm Pump
The 15D Next Generation Miniature Diaphragm Series is released. The ultra-quiet pump (down to 45 dBA) incorporates oversized ball bearings to ensure maintenance-free operation and a new flow-enhanced design that increases the performance of this series. The single head style can develop pressure to 0.2 MPa (2.0 bar), vacuum to -68 kPa (335 mbar abs.), with open flow of 8.7 lpm. The twin head version can achieve 0.17 MPa (1.7 bar), -88 kPa (132 mbar abs.), with open flow to 19 lpm. Both AC and DC motors are available. EPDM diaphragms and values are standard; neoprene is optional for select applications.

Introduction of New Regenerative Blower - The R7 Series
Competitively priced, this new R7H Series produces pressure to 70.7 kPa (707 mbar), vacuum -44.0 kPa (440 mbar) with free air flow of 353 m3/hr at 60 Hz operation. UL and CSA approved three phase TEFC motors with permanently sealed ball bearings, IP54 rated enclosure and Class F insulation, are standard. A CE compliant model with BSP pipe ports is available.

Introduction of 2 new ROC-R?/font> Rocking Piston Compressor/Vacuum Pump Lines
The new 74R Series single cylinder rocking piston compressor utilizes state-of-the-art cup and cylinder technology to provide long service life and more performance for less power. Additional features include oilless operation and wetted aluminum parts for corrosion resistance. The 74R Series is rated at 0.19 kW with world motor voltage options available. It achieves pressure up to 0.7 M Pa (7.0 bar) and open flow to 2.6 m3/hr.
The new 75R
Series twin cylinder rocking piston compressor/vacuum pump utilizes state-of-the-art cup and cylinder technology to provide long service life and more performance for less power. Other features include oilless operation and wetted aluminum parts for corrosion resistance. The 75R Series has a 0.25 kW motor with world voltage options available. It can develop pressure to 0.28 M Pa (2.8 bar), vacuum up to - 92 k Pa (99 mbar) and has open flow 8.7 m3/hr.

Moving to new facilities

Representative office in Shanghai, China established
In November
1998, Gast HK established a sales representative office in Shanghai, China and hired a full time sales engineer for the business promotion of GAST product in China.
With this new establishment, we are able to answer customers inquiries more promptly and directly and provide them stronger product and technical support. More importantly, with ample warehouse space in our new office, we can meet with our customers's contingent need of product units and spare parts.
